The open grounds are lovely for a walk, and the meals we booked were absolutely delicious, though the portions were a little small. Breakfast was great too, with fresh pastries and bread, homemade preserves, yogurt, creamy butter, hot drinks, and juice. The hosts even gave us some milk for our little one when no shop was open on Sunday evening. Service was lovely. We found the place less child-friendly than we’d hoped. There was an electric fence near the hobbit houses with no signs, and no one had warned us, so our curious four-year-old got a nasty shock. There are also open pond areas, so you need to keep an eye on children. In our hobbit hole there was no fan or ventilation. It was 35 degrees, and opening the skylight for air meant letting in mosquitoes, so with two toddlers we did what we could.

Our host was helpful and communication was good. We stayed in the hobbit hut Le Gadouillère, which was impeccably clean and just the right temperature. It’s a splendid, unusual place, and so peaceful and restorative. I highly recommend it!

The owner was friendly, helpful, and accommodating, and really added to the experience. The grounds and the quiet surroundings were lovely to enjoy, and the accommodation was comfortable and well equipped. The Lord of the Rings theme is beautifully done, with carefully crafted details and decor that feels full of passion. It’s immersive, authentic, and welcoming. We had a truly timeless weekend here. A charming, original place I’d wholeheartedly recommend, whether you’re a Tolkien fan or just after a unique getaway. ⭐

We spent two nights in the Bulle with the jacuzzi and had a great time together as friends. The bubble is decorated so nicely, and the little caravan bathroom next door is adorable. It’s a really relaxing spot, and Gwenaëlle and Sébastien were perfect hosts. Breakfast and dinner were excellent, made with good local ingredients. We also liked being close to so many places to discover. We can’t wait to come back and try another accommodation!
