Campanile Dijon Centre Clemenceau

They lost, or stole, my teddy that I’d had for 21 years. I left it on the room bed, and they really didn’t help me get it back at all. Anyway, they probably don’t care, but now I’m depressed and can’t sleep anymore, so I hope they’re happy.

The bed was good, and the room had air conditioning, good darkness, and was quiet, really all you need in a hotel. Too bad there’s no breakfast, though the bakery across the street looks good and opens early. Parking is a bit of an issue: only 20 spots, and it costs €10. Reserve it in time. Otherwise, you can park in the neighborhood, which is safe too.

A budget option with clean but small rooms. There’s private gated parking in the backyard for a fee. The city center is a short walk or tram ride away.

The restaurant by the entrance looked tempting after a long drive, so we sat outside and ate there. The menu was simple and expensive for what they offered. The burgers and pizzas were good, but I wouldn’t recommend the fish dish. The hotel looks nice from outside, with a spacious, modern lobby, but the rooms are very simple and dated. There was only one socket in a room with three beds. It was very dusty around the windows, and the carpets didn’t look clean either. The location is excellent, a short walk from the train station and right in front of a tram.
