We spent Christmas at Mas de Kyoto, and the house was beautifully prepared for the season, with a charming tree. Even in low season it felt warm and welcoming. The host was gracious and attentive, and we enjoyed two lovely meals that mixed French traditions with subtle Japanese touches. The house is cozy, beautifully designed, and great for relaxing. We’re already looking forward to coming back when it’s warmer, to enjoy the pool, lavender scent in the garden, and the quiet of this unique retreat. Highly recommended for a peaceful, beautiful getaway.

We came with our puppies for the Labor Day holiday and had a fantastic stay. Kaho made delicious Japanese meals that made the experience feel special, and breakfast was something we looked forward to each morning. We could order from the menu the night before and try different things, with fresh bakery pastries each morning and freshly made dishes. The room and shared areas were spotless and well organized, with thoughtful details throughout. The host was welcoming from the start and went out of her way to make sure everything was right. Everything ran smoothly, so the stay was stress-free. I’d highly recommend it for a comfortable, memorable visit.

Just great. The place is stylish and really luxurious, and my room was beautiful and clean. Kaho, the owner, is a lovely person and a fantastic chef.

The dinner at Mas de Kyoto was unforgettable. We ate on our private terrace by candlelight, with everything arranged beautifully. The Japanese meal Kaho cooked was delicious, especially the eggplant with balsamic and the chicken with Japanese-style hollandaise. We also tried some unusual wines we hadn’t had before, and they were really nice. Kaho gave us great tips for dining out, too. She was super friendly and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The property is beautiful, and the recently renovated rooms, designed by the owner, are serene, bright, and lovely. Our bed was extremely comfortable, and we slept wonderfully. The bathroom had two showers, which was very convenient. Waking to birdsong was peaceful. At first we thought it was our iPhone alarm, but it was actually the birds. We had an amazing time, and highly recommend Mas de Kyoto. Thank you!
