Meric Gites

We had a really relaxing time and enjoyed the area, especially the recommendations from G and F. Gareth and Fiona were attentive, welcoming, and full of useful information. The Gites had everything we needed, and the pool was kept clean and tidy.

We stayed in the Crillon Gite with our family of five, and it was very spacious. Meric is a special place, set in the countryside with lovely views, though shops and other amenities are only a short drive away. Gareth and Fiona are hospitable hosts, and their high standards show throughout. The gardens and pool area were immaculate, with comfortable outdoor furniture. Inside, the gites were spotless and stylishly furnished, with a very well equipped kitchen, quality beds and bedding, and a lovely bathroom and shower. After nine years of travelling to France, this is the best standard of accommodation we've found. We hope to return sometime.

The area is full of lovely places to visit, restaurants, markets, and night markets, which were new to us. The comprehensive welcome pack in the gite helped point us in the right direction. We'd recommend Pujols and Agen. Gareth and Fiona were wonderful hosts, friendly without hovering, and available whenever we needed them. They showed us around the gite and facilities when we arrived, and even introduced us to their lovely dog, Daisy. There were thoughtful essentials waiting for us, including local wine, milk, and butter, which made for a lovely start to our holiday. The gites were spotless and had everything we needed. WiFi was more than adequate for the kids and for me to do a bit of work. Fans in every bedroom were definitely necessary. Gareth and Fiona also invited all the guests to their house one evening, and we had a lovely chat. The pool was spotless, safe, and much appreciated in the 36 degree + heat every day, which was apparently unusual. This was our first visit to France in a while, our first stay at Meric Gites, and our furthest trip south. We thoroughly recommend it, and thank Gareth and Fiona again for their hospitality. We made good use of that lovely, clean pool.

Fiona, Gareth, from the moment we arrived at your holiday gites, we were blown away. The welcome pack for a month was stunning, and the gite was so clean and had everything you could think of. Superb views, an amazing location, and a stunning, clean pool. We've tried other places, but this is by far the best value for money. We'll be back.
