The hosts made us feel at ease and were charming and helpful. They pointed us toward nearby places to see, including Megève and the Green Lake (Lac Vert). In summer, this would be a good base for hiking, if you can pull yourself away from the lovely terrace for the day. The weather was the one drawback, and that wasn't something they could control. We spent a wonderful few days here with my wife. The Jorasse apartment sits in a picturesque spot with fantastic views, and the owners have taken real care with the landscaping. It almost looked like a movie set, somewhere between Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones. Inside, it was spacious and spotless, with a fully equipped kitchen and a stylish shower room. The bedroom had a large, very comfortable memory foam bed. The owners spoke English almost as comfortably as French, of course. I'd happily recommend the apartment for a couples' break or a romantic getaway. There's also a second, much larger apartment that can host over 10 guests.
