I won’t be booking with ibis again. My ferry time changed, and I wasn’t due to reach Barcelona until about 8 PM. I asked if the booking could be cancelled or if they could offer a reasonable option, like a voucher for another stay or a move to a different ibis hotel. They turned that down without trying to work anything out. Their only answer was that reception stays open all night, but I wouldn’t have got there before 5 AM, which made the stay pointless. There was no flexibility or goodwill.

Good value, with comfortable rooms and a nice breakfast buffet. It’s a handy roadside stop, and the service was good too.

The AC made both stops miserable. The first time, on our way to cannes, it was broken on a day that got up to 27 degrees. We were told they hadn’t expected it to be that hot and had switched the AC off. A week later, coming back home, we were told it simply wasn’t working. It was 30 degrees celsius and we felt like we were being cooked alive. This was unbearable. DO NOT COME!!!!!

We’ve stayed with Ibis for years because it does the job. This one is a good place to break the drive to the French Alps. It’s clean and comfortable, with no frills, just what we need to get our heads down.

The room and bathroom looked very worn, and there was a skip right by the entrance. Staff were pleasant and helpful, and the beds were clean. The bathroom was very basic, with no toilet seat. At night the aircon kept bubbling noisily, like our fish tank.
