The stable staff were so nice, and the walk through the forest was amazing. We came here especially for the stables. Breakfast in our room was excellent, too. We had a prestige room in the Château, and the quality for the price was excellent. The restaurant was decent, though maybe a little expensive for what it was. The dishes looked good, but service took too long, and a few plates were a bit too acidic. The staff were very kind.

It feels like stepping into a fairy tale. This place is incredible. Mark my words, when I take ownership, I’ll change the whole story here. Just imagine having all your desires met in one place, the ultimate one-stop shop where all your dreams come true!

The staff were super friendly and helped with everything, and we had a lovely gastronomic dinner in a nice atmosphere. It’s a real gem for a relaxing weekend as a couple or with family. They’d just installed air conditioning, but it wasn’t working yet. Even in the high temperatures, though, the walls kept the heat out during the day and the nights stayed cool. Highly recommend it.

We brought our dog and enjoyed long, beautiful walks through the forest and garden. The breakfast was really good, too. Don’t book without it or you’ll miss out. Yes, it’s expensive, but it’s an absolutely stunning hotel with an authentic feel and a really upscale atmosphere. We spent two nights in the castle building and had an amazing view of the estate from the rear side.

The grounds and property are stunning, and very well maintained. The staff were polite and really tried hard. But I felt management had let other parts of running a hotel and looking after guests slide because the place is so beautiful. There are quite a few easy fixes that would make the experience better. Most rooms aren’t in the main house, and ours was tiny, barely leaving room to walk around the end of the bed. It was probably the smallest hotel room I’ve stayed in, really only suitable for one person. The phone didn’t work, and the light switches felt sticky because their soft touch finish had aged and needed replacing. There was no hand soap either, so if you wanted to wash your hands you had to use the shower gel. Nothing was written down in the room, including the WiFi password and breakfast hours, and very little was signposted around the hotel. A WiFi booster, I assume, glowed bright blue all night. We had to cover it with a shirt to sleep in the dark. We were told breakfast was served until 11am, but that wasn’t actually the case. We had to try to convince them to serve us. They did sort something out, but please write the hours down in the rooms. The food was lovely, but the wine list was far too complicated for most guests, who aren’t wine experts. It didn’t say what kind of wine each one was, like Merlot, Sharz or Pino Noir, so we ended up Googling everything and felt uncomfortable, like we’d been given a hard homework assignment. The following night we went to a 2 Michelle’s star restaurant in Colmar, where the wine list was much easier to understand.
