Belambra Hôtel Le Normont

Breakfast was a real highlight, especially the very fresh croissants. We were there for a department retreat, and the hotel worked well for the training apart from the internet failing right when we needed it most. The rooms in the main building were clean and had been renovated about three years ago. The other meals were okay, though a bit like canteen food.

The location is pretty and the pool is decent, but the room had a huge stain on the floor and the Wi-Fi didn't work there. There's no air conditioning in either the rooms or lobby, and no hair dryers anywhere in the hotel. I also had no phone to call the front desk. The bathroom only had a combined hair and body gel, which was useless for both.

Never again. In room 109, the bathroom had an alive spider in every corner and dirty stoneware. The windows were very old and moldy, and the mattress was dirty, with traces of old urine. The curtain was torn, too. It was December, -2 degrees outside, and cold in the room, with wind coming under the windows and the heater not connected at all. For what I paid, I expected better. Hotel Balambra Le Normont does not deserve 3 stars. The worst experience ever!

The food was really poor, seeming to be all frozen or canned, and it looks like the building hasn't had any investment for ages. Some employees did their best to make the stay okay, but others really didn't. In my view, that wasn't acceptable.
