The village of Dourdan is a wonderful place to visit in its own right, and it's very walkable. It's also close to Paris by RER. We loved the garden and the roomy little house, with its bouquets and other thoughtful touches. The proprietor was welcoming, and after five minutes we felt like a friend sharing an interest in gardening. The bed was very comfortable, and breakfast was excellent and complete, served at a table overlooking the garden. Beyond all expectations. I want to live there.

The little house sits privately in the owners' garden, separate from the rest of the house. From the street the house looks tiny, but the garden is like something from a fairy tale, and you can see the owners' great feeling for beauty and nature. The street is very quiet, with parking off street. Breakfast was good, with homemade jams and a garden view. The RER station is a 15 mn walk away, and the RER takes you to Paris Austerlitz in 1h. It cost $10 return per person. Just a caveat, the bathroom, shower and toilets are very small if you're heavy or tall.

A great, friendly host who really knows how to look after guests. The place is clean and quiet, and a lovely spot for an overnight stay. Sleeping there and having a wonderful breakfast in the garden was a treat.

The tiny house is tucked into a gorgeous garden behind the owners' home. It's tastefully decorated and fully equipped, and the breakfast was yummy!
