Premiere Classe Dreux

Had a good weekend there. The staff were kind and keen to help, especially the front desk guy with locks, whose name I can't remember, and one of the maids, who both helped me out a lot.

The bed was clean and comfortable, and the tiny shower room is pretty normal for this kind of hotel. The rest was scruffy, though: smoke smell in our room, stained walls and a smelly bathroom. Breakfast was very average. It needs a complete renovation, and we definitely won't stay there next time we're passing through.

The security guard was very nice, but the hotel itself was a shambles. After paying online, we arrived to find that the automated machine wouldn't accept our booking, even though the guard had our details printed out. He tried several times without success. After 45 minutes he let us into a room, but gave us no key. The rooms were tiny, dark and filthy. You'd have more space and a cleaner place sleeping in your car.

A nice little motel, as long as you aren't expecting the Ritz. It's clean, well located and near amenities. The service rating from me would only be three stars because everything is self-service.
