B&B Hotel Dreux Centre

A pleasant spot to rest, with a fair price and roomy rooms. They have a shower and television, and you can stay for a night or longer. LUCIEN PASTOUR PROFESSIONAL GOOGLE LOCAL GUIDE.

The staff were friendly, the bed was comfortable, and the WiFi worked well. Still, our return visit was a letdown compared with when we stayed in 2010. We skipped breakfast this time because the one we had a week earlier wasn't as good as we remembered from past visits here and at other Hotel B&Bs. Our room for three was so cramped that opening either the main door or the bathroom door meant it hit the bed. We also could have used more pillows.

The bed was comfortable and breakfast was fine, but neither made up for the rest of this first stay at a B&B Hotel. Rooms 15 and 16 never seemed to get a proper flow of hot water or decent pressure: the shower and basin kept going from lukewarm to nothing, then cold, then nothing again. Before arrival, the emails for a two-room booking only gave codes for one room. At the door, staff did nothing while I struggled with the codes and seemed not to care that I had arrived. I would avoid this hotel unless it fixes these problems. If this is typical of B&B hotels, there are much better places for a little more money. I won't stay here again.

We were able to keep our bicycles safely in the hotel's storage area overnight, which was useful. Arriving after hours, we first tried using the reservation number at the keypad by the entrance, but it didn't work. A kind man answered when we pressed the help button and walked us through it. There's a screen just inside the door where you can get the room codes and access the hotel. It was our first time staying at a B&B hotel.
