Villa Juliette

A lovely little apartment, just a few minutes’ walk from the seafront and promenade. Parking can be a bit of a problem if you arrive on a busy weekend.

The location is wonderful, on a pretty, quiet street just two minutes from Malo-les-Bains beach. Hugues' local restaurant recommendations were spot on, and we’ll definitely come back for our next holiday in Dunkirk. We received a very warm welcome from Hugues at this beautiful villa, where we stayed in the ground-floor studio. The apartment was comfortable and charming, with lovely summery decor. There’s a cute little courtyard where you can have breakfast or relax in a sun lounger.

We stayed in the second-floor studio, "Le Capitaine" (The Captain), which was comfortable and tastefully decorated. The manager was very welcoming and had helpful advice. It’s a traditional Malo-les-Bains house with several apartments, ideally located just steps from the promenade and beach, and about 200 meters from the main square with shops. A great place for a stay of one or more nights.

The beach promenade is about 100 meters away, and the harbor is around a 20-minute walk. Our hosts looked after us well and spoke excellent English. Their restaurant recommendations are worth following; we had some very good meals. We’d decided on a spontaneous two-night stay in Dunkirk and found Villa Juliette by chance. Even with the last-minute booking, arranging it by phone and checking in went perfectly. The apartment is small, but clean and tastefully furnished. It also has a lovely private courtyard where you can enjoy breakfast or relax in the sun.
