Adonis Aix en Provence

I wouldn't recommend staying here. The place felt poorly managed and wasn't clean. On arrival, reception came across as quite arrogant. The room smelled, and the pillows were poor quality and smelled awful too. They gave me a clean pillow when I asked, but the bed hadn't been made when I came back that evening. I also asked for the soap dispenser to be refilled, and that wasn't done.

The pool was the one decent thing, though it was too small for the number of guests. The rest was a mess: the room smelled, wasn't properly cleaned, the air conditioning barely worked, and the facilities were very basic. I arrived to find out they'd cancelled my booking. They didn't apologize, and only said there was one room left after I showed proof of our booking conversations. It had twin beds instead of a double, so with no other option we accepted it and still paid full price. The hotel seems to count on people coming for nearby weddings. I wouldn't recommend it or go back.

The dishes in the room were wet and dirty, and the staff experience wasn't good either. We'd booked a non-smoking room but got one that smelled really bad of smoke. When we asked to change rooms or get a discount, they said the hotel was full and had someone spray aerosol to cover the smell.

The staff were nice, and each room has a small kitchen. The place is quiet, with a pool that's open all day, but it's dirty and looks neglected. We only stayed one night because we needed somewhere at the last minute, and the price wasn't outrageous. I wouldn't recommend it if you have another option.
