Les Jardins d'Athéna

The hotel complex has a few good points: parking, a pool, a simple but decent breakfast, and a very warm welcome. The studio, though, isn't part of the complex, and after trying both, I found that a real problem. It reeks of stale cigarettes. The sheets had black marks, the towels hadn't been washed well, and the floor was dirty and dusty. The shower grout was in awful shape, with mold and cockroaches too. The terrace looks unfinished or badly finished, and just seems dirty. Charging €105 a night for this is shameful.

The breakfast was decent, though I still think it's a bit expensive. I've stayed here before, but this time the receptionist wasn't very friendly and made us feel like we were a bother. The rooms themselves were excellent: spacious, with a large bathroom, a very comfortable bed, and a little kitchenette with a fridge and all the dishes and utensils needed to eat in. It's well located. We'll keep staying here when we want to go to IKEA, since we live somewhere without one.

It was hard to reach the place because the number was wrong, so I had to go there in person. The establishment doesn't manage the apartments. The owner involved has no customer service skills at all, and I found him obnoxious and dishonest. I'll never book here again. On top of that, he apparently gives himself 5/5 ratings in his own reviews. Beware!

The staff were friendly and efficient, and the place has everything you need. It's a peaceful spot surrounded by nature. I highly recommend it!
