We weren’t staying at the hotel, but had dinner at Le Chalvet restaurant and were really impressed. The cooking was fresh and homemade, with the mother serving and her son in the kitchen. The €25 regional menu included melon and tomato salad as an amuse-bouche, a charcuterie platter and zucchini and goat cheese quiche to start, veal blanquette with dauphinoise potatoes, then red berry panna cotta.

The view was superb, and breakfast was excellent with homemade products. We also found the rooms well equipped and the staff very friendly. Thanks for the warm welcome. Our one small gripe was that there’s no air conditioning in the rooms, which we really felt during the intense heat while we were there.

The staff were incredibly attentive, and we found the hotel and restaurant super friendly and relaxing. Up in the hills above Embrun, it’s a real gem, with tastefully decorated rooms that have everything you need. The restaurant cooks everything at home and features local produce. The menu is filling, and breakfast was equally exceptional. It’s among the best places I’ve stayed, and one I’ll remember and recommend.

I only ate at the restaurant, so I can’t comment on the hotel. The decor is charming and cozy, and the lovely waitress made sure we had a good time. The food was exquisite, made with fresh ingredients and prepared with love. Portions were generous, but sharing meant I could enjoy enough without feeling stuffed. It was a truly memorable meal, and I wasn’t disappointed at all. One thing to know: they serve set menus, available by reservation, so it’s best to book ahead. I recommend it 1000%!

Everything’s homemade with the freshest ingredients, in a peaceful, green setting. The owner looks after everything herself, from reception and the restaurant to housekeeping, and is incredibly attentive to her guests. A real little paradise, and a true gem.
