Hotel Azur

The welcome was very pleasant, and the shower and sheets were very clean. Breakfast was plentiful and had plenty of variety. The rooms, though, badly need renovation. The wallpaper was torn, and there was only one electrical outlet in a quadruple room. The TV outlet was worrying, crackling, faulty, and not firmly attached to the wall. The rooms aren't soundproofed, and our neighbor was very noisy.

We've stayed at this friendly hotel twice now, and we'd gladly return. Rooms cost under €60, with some facing the Moselle River and others the courtyard. They're well soundproofed, so we heard no noise from outside or inside. Each room has a large shower, great for two people, and there are no bathtubs. The manager was kind and smiling, and offered to show me a room before I booked. Breakfast is served on the ground floor for around €6-8, though I can't remember the exact price.

I found the hotel very dirty and ended up spending the night at another one. The hallways had no light, and the bulbs hadn't been replaced. In the first room, there was tobacco and fingernails in the drawers, hair on the sheets, and a smell of tobacco. I changed rooms, but the second had a stained armchair, hair in the bed, a stain on the furniture, and that same tobacco smell. The sheets had mold.

I slept like a baby. The room was colorful and pleasant, and the bed was super comfortable 😊 The woman at reception was welcoming. Breakfast wasn't a buffet, but it was a full and sufficient meal: orange juice, coffee, 3 slices of brioche, 3 pieces of bread 🥖, 1 croissant 🥐, 3 yogurts, 3 portions of Nutella, 3 portions of honey, 2 butters, and 4 small jams. I thought it was very good. I was really happy with the stay!!! 😉
