The hosts were so friendly and shared lots of useful tips for restaurants and activities. We loved being able to walk from the house to Espelette for its restaurants and bars. The location also makes a perfect base for exploring the Pays Basque. The house and garden were wonderful, and the surroundings very quiet. Breakfast was plentiful and really good. We could relax on the terrace and unwind. Merci beaucoup!

Anne was quick to respond and always around to help with questions. The gite shares a lovely, large garden with the owners' house, and Espelette is a pleasant walk away.

We usually go for countryside cottages when we travel in France, and were delighted with our time in Espelette. The cottage was comfortable and well laid out, with refined decor and spotless rooms that made it easy to relax. We enjoyed the mountain view and extraordinary garden, and quickly switched off from everyday life. Our hosts were discreet yet attentive as our stay came to an end. We hope to return soon. Anne was available and thoughtful, and suggested lovely places that matched what we enjoy. The spaces are carefully arranged and furnished with beautiful materials, making for a comfortable, undisturbed stay. We especially appreciated the peace and the private entrance, which let us enjoy our privacy. It's an ideal spot to recharge away from the summer crowds, while still being less than 30 minutes from the ocean and close to must-see attractions. Highly recommend it.
