The location is great, with the beach and main sights within walking distance. The room interior is old and needs renovation, and there were lots of noisy birds outside in the morning. We’d told the hotel when booking that there would be two adults and a baby, and asked for a cot. They said that was fine, and at check-in a friendly English-speaking woman brought us one. But the next morning, another woman at reception, who didn’t speak English, made a big fuss about us staying in a double room with the baby. We couldn’t understand why she was making such a scene and wasting our time. We asked the manager to address it so other guests wouldn’t have the same unpleasant experience.

The location is perfect, but the building has an old-fashioned style and the staff weren’t very polite when we asked about parking. Parking nearby is expensive: we paid €7.50 for just two or three hours, though it became free from 7 pm until 9 am the next morning. The hotel charges €17 per day.

It’s pretty basic, but not bad for a one-star hotel. The doors have a security locking system. There’s no elevator or kettle, and parking is €12 a day, about a 12-minute walk away. The beach is 100 metres away. Fine for a night or two :)

The hotel is in a great spot in the center of Etretat, just a one-minute walk from the beach. The rooms are fairly spacious and cosy, and it’s quiet at night. How friendly and professional the staff are depends on who you get.

The view of the water and cliffs from our room was amazing, and it was cosy and comfortable for our family of three. The location was ideal for the beach, morning market, and some delicious restaurants. The women at the welcome desk were so kind and welcoming. Perfect stay, definitely recommend!
