We booked a family apartment but were given two rooms and a bathroom, each with its own direct entrance from the hall. The kids' room had no lock, so anyone could have gone in during the night. Breakfast was basic. Eggs had been promised in the afternoon, but weren't available the next morning. The morning staff spoke only French and asked us to pay in cash, as there wasn't any cashless payment option. We didn't feel welcome at all.

The room was cosy and warm, with a huge private bathroom and a big bedroom. It felt like having your own separate wing. The place has a quirky, original charm, almost like staying in a wealthy mansion from 200 years ago. I'd stay again.

Guests started leaving from 9:30, leaving their keys behind without seeing anyone or getting a bill, and they were still hungry. Breakfast was supposed to run from 8:30 to 10:30, but we were left waiting. The house itself is beautiful and well preserved, but the service was unacceptable. A lovely building in a lovely city isn't enough to make a good hotelier. If you read the reviews closely, the owner's absence at breakfast comes up again and again. Avoid at all costs!

We had a very pleasant stay, and breakfast was superb in the charming dining room. Our host gave us a warm welcome to this magnificent house, full of character. It really felt like stepping back in time. Léon, the little Jack, was playful and very endearing. I highly recommend it.
