Kyriad Evreux - Netreville

The N154 traffic, about 400 yards away, kept us awake for half the night and started up again early in the morning. Even with that and a few other annoyances, this was much better than a certain budget hotel in Evreux. We stayed in the annexe, in a large, clean room with nice extras: water, a kettle, tea, coffee and biscuits. The staff were helpful, and the restaurant was clean and nicely laid out. The pillows were a little bouncy but comfortable. There was nowhere in the bathroom to hang clothes or towels, which was really inconvenient. Breakfast was disappointing. The scrambled eggs were solid and inedible, and the croissants seemed rationed, with no refill.

The rooms were horrible and cold, and we were treated very unfriendly when we arrived the night before. Then a man nearly attacked me over a cup I wanted to take to my room and bring back as soon as I was done. As if I'd want to keep a terrible cup like that at home. I have a little more class, sorry. They treated me like a thief. I've attached a picture of the cup they nearly harassed me over. It's a shame they charge this much for a hotel like this.

The stay was a letdown. The floors smelled unpleasant, the room was pretty dirty, and we could hear other guests yelling through the walls. It was extremely hot inside, with no permission to open the window, and the door wouldn't close.

The location is good and the rooms are clean. But with it only 15°C outside, leaving the terrace door open into the restaurant made the room cold. Several people were smoking outside, so the smoke came in too.
