🚫🚫🚫 RACIST CASHIER 🚫🚫🚫 We went in to buy an ice cream for my son. At the counter, the cashier kept looking at her phone and ignored us for several minutes. When she finally looked up, she seemed annoyed that we were there. She told me the price, and I got my phone out to pay by card. In a mocking, very rude tone, she said cards were only accepted for purchases over €15. I said okay and was about to leave when she ordered me, arrogantly and authoritatively, to put the ice cream back in the freezer. I hadn't registered how insolent she was at the time, so I politely asked my son to return it. Afterward, I realized how badly we'd both been treated. I also read earlier reviews saying the same woman had argued with other customers just because they spoke Portuguese in the shop. That makes it seem like more than poor service, it looks like DISCRIMINATION. 🚨 STAY AWAY!!! And the kitchen in the back looked filthy. I wouldn't touch anything here that wasn't wrapped, even if I were paid.

We spent ten minutes waiting for the cashier to get our T-shirt size, since the sign said not to touch the shirts and to ask her. She didn't have our size after all. The woman was controlling and rude, and while we were there we saw her argue with two customers, one for carrying an ice cream and another for speaking Portuguese. Postcards outside the shop were beside a sign saying photos weren't allowed unless you paid, and the shirts had their own no-touch sign. Avoid this souvenir shop. It ruined our day.

It's the souvenir shop, not the hotel! The last leg of our trip to Eze Village was a challenge: three kids, 95°F in the shade, and hundreds of stairs. Somehow, we got there in pretty good spirits. Then we reached the souvenir shop at the bottom of the village. The plastic toys were set right at toddler eye level, which was a tough temptation for two tired two-year-olds. One of my twins dropped a toy from about 30 cm up. The assistant reacted as if something priceless had been smashed, sharply telling us, “Give it to me!” Then a woman appeared, gave my children several nasty looks, muttered something unpleasant, and hissed “Psssst!” at them. The whole thing left us embarrassed and made for a miserable end to the outing. Families might be better off staying outside and enjoying the view.

That was awful. I can't believe this happened in a tourist area. I wanted to buy a postcard and had only $10 and $100 bills with me, so I paid with the $10. The cashier asked whether I had coins, and I said no, that was the smallest amount I had. She spoke French in a nasty tone, or at least that's how it came across from her expression, then gave me one $5 bill and twenty 20-cent coins. I wondered why she couldn't give me four $1 bills instead of all those coins. I said I didn't want the postcard after all because of the change she'd given me. Another staff member came over yelling that refunds weren't allowed. In the end, they handed my $10 back. What great service over a simple postcard purchase. Bluhhhhhh.

I wanted to look at a shirt, but the cashier yelled that we weren't allowed to touch anything. How was I supposed to buy it without being able to handle it? When we asked why she was watching us as if we planned to steal, she threw my family and me out. She also went off on us and spoke rudely to little kids. Worst shop ever, rudest cashier ever.
