Hotel Première Classe Maubeuge - Feignies

The receptionist was pleasant, and the room had air conditioning, but the hotel was gloomy and in poor shape. On arrival, the outside looked to me like it had fire damage. My room was dirty, the light switch was broken, and mosquitoes were everywhere. There was nowhere to eat nearby. The restaurant by the roundabout looked permanently closed, so I ended up buying sandwiches at the petrol station, which felt like my only option. I ate them on the hotel terrace beside the station and busy intersection. The price was cheap, but the night before I'd paid the same for a non-chain hotel with a much better room and location. Even by Premiere Classe standards, this one was poor.

There’s a large car park outside, with a gate that shuts after 10 pm and opens again at 6 am. You can use a PIN code to get through. The room doors use magnetic cards, and there are vending machines with cold drinks and small daily necessities. Staff were very good, and there’s a place to do laundry. The showers are in a separate room, and you can control the climate in your room. There’s an all-you-can-eat breakfast served at 6.30 am. Enjoy your stay here. Thanks.

The room itself was okay and clean, and breakfast was okay too, but the shower was a disaster. There was no curtain or anything else to keep water from going into the bathroom. We also couldn't connect to the WiFi at all because the signal was really bad. It was disappointing that the staff didn't speak English. The location wasn't great, and construction or factory noise kept me awake during the night. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to friends.

The rooms are clean and the place is quiet, but they're too small for two people. I've never seen a smaller bathroom. Breakfast is average. The parking is secured, with the gates closed at night, and you can't get in or out without a card key.
