Paxton Hôtel Spa Paris MLV

The breakfast had lots to choose from, and the hotel is in a handy spot: the station is a short walk away, with just two stops to Disneyland. There’s also a shuttle in the morning and evening. Our room was really comfortable, though in the duplex we would have preferred two single sofa beds for our boys instead of one double. It wasn’t a big issue.

We felt unsafe and uncomfortable after two security guards and the receptionist came to our door, acting aggressively and making threats, including threatening to call the police and trying to lead us out of the room. This happened after staff asked us to turn our music down, which we did. Some staff were rude and aggressive. The room was freezing whatever setting we put the thermostat on, so staff brought a portable heater. On arrival, the connecting door to the neighboring hotel room was unlocked, and we had to shut and lock it ourselves. After cleaning, the room had been rearranged, and we found some of our belongings stuffed behind the bedside table. Avoid this hotel unless you want to freeze and deal with rude staff.

The duplex room was just right, and it was cleaned daily with fresh towels. The walk to the train station takes about 15 minutes and is easy, with crossings along the way, despite what some people say. The pool and spa were lovely and clean, and there’s a beautiful Italian restaurant. The staff were friendly. I’d happily stay again and recommend it. I’d been a little worried after reading some reviews, but honestly, I couldn’t fault the place. Some people just can’t be pleased.

The breakfast was complete, and the hammam was good. I would have liked the sauna to be hotter. The room is modest in size, but the newly redesigned furnishings are exquisite, and the spa and pool feel very modern.
