Breakfast was really good, and the room was spacious and clean, though it didn't have a fridge. The hotel is comfortable and welcoming, with kind owners, and pets are allowed. If you want dinner there, book by the morning at the latest. Because of Covid, they could only cook for hotel guests.

The food was brilliant, and Tito is a great chef. Sue and Rodger made us feel right at home, too. It's a lovely base for exploring the French Alps, and we'd definitely stay again.

We stopped at Auberge Camelia in Aviernoz for a night on our way to La Plagne, the beautiful French ski resort. It's a welcoming family hotel, and we had a delicious meal there.

We used this as a great base for day trips into the alps. The views are beautiful, the hosts are amazing, and the food was delicious. They also know how to make a proper tea.

We'd never seen a lizard orchide before. One happened to appear this spring at the AUBERGE Camelia, and now I'm wondering how it got there and where else in the Haute-Savoie they might be...
