Le Crebillon

The building is beautiful, with a really interesting interior. The rooms run quite cold, so bring a blanket if you feel the chill. There's nowhere accessible to plug in an electric car, and the owner doesn't seem keen on charging one. Check everything carefully before and after your stay, as there may be discrepancies, and they can be costly. Without those small problems, it could be worth five stars.

It's a peaceful, ideal spot in a typical village. The cottage is beautiful, with original but understated decor that suits the building perfectly. The owners respond quickly to requests.

I left with precious memories and felt refreshed after getting away from city life and reconnecting with my roots. Le Crebillon is exceptionally located, with so much history in its two magnificent upper floors and ground floor billiards room. Everything was spotless, and the gîte sleeps up to 14 people, making it a lovely, affordable choice for a family holiday. The more people, the better the price. The garden has plenty of room for deck chairs and a nap when the weather is good, and the village is discreet and respectful. There's a welcoming, warm church and a bar where you can have drinks with friends or try "Les Anis de Flavigny" (Flavigny aniseed liqueur). The owners offer lots of extras, and they're friendly and easy to talk to. Chat with the hostess if you can, she knows a lot about Flavigny and French history. It really feels as if time stands still here, much like my first visit to the Palace of Versailles. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, and hope to see you again soon! 😌

The cottage is welcoming and well equipped, with authentic furniture. It works well for large families.
