It’s a simple place, but worked well for an evening. The staff were accommodating when I arrived by bike and needed somewhere to store it. The hotel was bright and clean, the room comfortable, and the shower clean. Breakfast was simple but good. It’s not close to the town center if you’re on foot or by bike, but there are fast food chains and supermarkets nearby, so dinner wasn’t a problem.

The mattresses were stained with what appeared to be feces and urine, and there were what looked like bodily fluids on the beds, floors, and walls. Black mold was around the windows, in the shower, and on the ceiling. There were three peepholes in the shower door: one at face or chest height, one at knee height, and a hand sized circular hole at stomach height. My room reeked of cigarette smoke and was full of mold, both triggers for my asthma. The staff did nothing about it, just as they made no attempt to address the other serious health and safety concerns. They were rude and got upset with us for raising the issues. The other people staying here seemed creepy, and I didn't feel safe. I was here on a school trip for the 80th anniversary of D-Day, and I'm shocked there are even half decent reviews. This is the worst place I've ever stayed. At 1:00am in France, I was staying up to write this because I honestly didn't know what else to do. If I could give negative stars, I would. I wouldn't come here even as a last resort. If there's nowhere else to stay, sleep in your car. Please look at the attached images. Do not consider staying here.

The rooms smelled strongly of cigarettes, and broken windows made first floor rooms accessible from outside. There was black mold around the windows and in the shower, and the sheets and mattresses were stained. Some stains looked like bodily fluids, and there was blood on a bed, which makes me doubt the sheets had been changed. I find it hard to believe these reviews are real. Staff were rude and made no effort to resolve the string of issues when we brought them up. I strongly suspect the rooms aren't cleaned between stays. At best, perhaps the sheets were changed in some rooms. I’d recommend any other hotel or accommodation.

There was no way to lock the windows and doors in the ground-floor rooms. The bathroom and shower screens also had big holes. My room was supposed to be non-smoking but reeked of cigarettes, and the bedding, walls, windows, and showers were unsanitary, with blood and mold. Staff spoke only French and were very unhelpful, unwilling to do anything to improve the situation.
