Breakfast had plenty to choose from, including fresh fruit, bread, pastries, eggs, cheese, and meats. I was also pleasantly surprised by the loose-leaf tea. The room was nice for the price and the bed was comfortable, though I would have liked a kettle. They don’t provide them, but the staff were happy to fill a flask for me. I had a lovely stay, and the hotel is perfectly placed right in the centre of Fontainebleau.

Dhalia and the other staff were really helpful while I was there. The location is close to the city center and carousel, with food, shops, and laundry all within walking distance. The chateâu is nearby too. A wonderful stay, and the small room was just right for one or two people.

The location is amazing, but our first room smelled awful and was barrier free even though we hadn’t booked that. We had to speak with the receptionist twice before getting moved. She was very nice, and the replacement room was decent, looked like the pictures, and had no bad smells. There weren’t any little extras like water, though.

Being close to the Chateau was great. The room, though, wasn’t as clean as at other Ibis hotels, especially the carpet.

Not having parking on site made the stay awkward. My wife and I both have bad backs, so carrying our luggage from the nearest car park was inconvenient. I don’t recall the website making the lack of on-site parking clear. The hotel itself was fine.
