La maison de Lalouette

The hosts were kind, welcoming and helpful during our one-night stay. The place is well situated, private, and has a pool near the village with a lovely view of the citadel. Breakfast was good, especially the homemade jams. Make time for the Gallo-Roman Museum and the citadel, and wear sturdy shoes.

We spent seven lovely days here with our two teenagers and had no complaints. The hosts welcomed us warmly and were attentive throughout. Breakfast was so generous we came away with a few extra pounds! We loved the pool and the view over Forcalquier. The room had air conditioning, plenty of storage, and a fridge, all of which we appreciated. I highly recommend it.

The owner is so friendly and attentive, and made us feel at home. She also shared helpful tips for seeing the area. Our room was small but had an original, tasteful layout, and the whole place was quiet and peaceful. There's a delightful little garden with a pool, and parking just outside. The town center is a ten-minute walk or two minutes by car.

We appreciated having air conditioning and a refrigerator, which aren't always available in a place like this. Breakfast had limited choices and wasn't anything special. The main drawback, though, was the unsafe staircase up to the mezzanine where the double bed is. This is a lovely B&B just outside Forcalquier, well suited to a stopover. The owner was kind and pointed us toward somewhere for dinner. The garden is peaceful and beautiful, with a pool we unfortunately didn't get to use.
