The villas may have been magnificent 15 years ago, but the website still presents them as luxury rentals, and that doesn't match their current condition. The poor maintenance and serious state of disrepair make the value for money extremely disappointing. The photos need updating. Some examples: the cleaning was neglected, with dirty tiles, cobwebs and several centimeters of grease on the oven tray. The patio door wouldn't close, which was a safety concern. Many pool tiles were falling out on their own, a hazard for young children. Garden furniture was damaged or broken, the shade sail was torn and its frame broken, and an interior wall was crumbling. There was very little tableware. This list isn't exhaustive. After we reported the problems, the windows were cleaned, two stemmed glasses were brought, and the maintenance team came by. They could only see the damage and confirmed that all the villas were in the same condition. We work all year and traveled 2,000 km to enjoy a vacation, so finding the rentals like this was unacceptable. Management denied the problems and offered no financial compensation for the misleading website photos and information. We're more than disappointed and won't return.

I don't usually leave negative reviews, but I can't let this go. We planned to stay at la bastide st Georges. When we were booking, a woman advised us to choose one of the little houses instead, saying they were at the same standard and had a kitchen for our one-year-old baby. I trusted her and agreed. What a disappointment when we arrived. We were told the heat pump no longer worked, even though we'd booked that house because we wanted a heated pool for our baby. They gave us a small compensation, and we let it go. Then we found there was no high chair. Reception said they were still in the boxes because they were supposedly new, and one was delivered an hour later. It was so filthy we didn't even want to put our son in it. There was dog hair on the bedspread, old residents' toothpaste in a very dirty toothbrush holder, clumps of white hair throughout the house and garden, stained curtains, and algae in the pool because it was so dirty. My partner went politely to reception to ask for a mop and someone to clean the pool. Nobody came, and we barely got to enjoy it. I don't recommend this place and am very disappointed in its standard.

A fantastic family holiday. The location and surroundings are beautiful, and the villas are lovely and tastefully decorated. They had all the comforts we needed for a great vacation. The gardens and pool are well maintained.

The decor is lovely, and the food is top-notch. It’s peaceful and discreet, spotlessly clean, and the team is exceptionally pleasant. A unique place for calm and serenity, and dogs are welcome too.
