The old trees and nearby horses make this place feel like a quiet little oasis, even though it's only five minutes from the motorway. We stopped after hours on the road and were warmly welcomed by the lady of the house, who does indeed love dogs. The rooms are pleasant and good for a night's sleep. Dinner was a proper full meal, with a dessert you just want to keep coming back for. After a restful night, there were fresh baguettes and croissants for breakfast. It brought that song to mind: Should I stay or should I go ...?

Though it wasn't our honeymoon, staying in the beautiful blue room made it feel like one. The old trees, horses and romantic buildings make this an idyllic spot, reached by a scenic route. It was like stepping into a fairy tale, and we were grateful for Helene's kindness and hospitality. We highly recommend it and will be back.

The photos seem to be from the last century and give a misleading impression. The place as it is has little to do with them, which is shameful at this price. It needs a thorough renovation. The toilet sits in front of the window, with no proper curtains to give even basic privacy, which is very annoying. The chair cushions have holes, and I have nothing good to say about the pool. Shameful for the price. Avoid!

This charming old house feels like a step back into the 18th century. The owner is full of energy and talented in many ways, and her kindness charmed us. We'll be back!

Hélène, the owner, gave us great suggestions for outings and places to see. It's a lovely old house, and Madeleine takes good care of breakfast, with plenty of croissants, different breads and eggs. The homemade jam and apple juice were delicious. I stayed several nights with my little dog, and everything was perfect. I'd be happy to return!
