The apartment is nicely decorated and well equipped, and our contact was friendly and professional. Still, it wasn't a pleasant place to stay. The housing complex is in very poor shape and looks like a council estate, which didn't feel glamorous or reassuring. There was water noise in the pipes, parking was difficult, and the TV wasn't connected to an antenna, so we only had Canal+ and YouTube. The shower room was so cramped there wasn't even a shelf for a toiletry bag. During the day, the large south-facing bay window made it unbearably hot, so air conditioning was essential with the window shut and sometimes the curtains closed. When I visited, the sink faucet was broken, there was no hair dryer, and the toilet seat was unscrewed. The owner said he would fix it. The week before, I stayed in a cottage in the same neighborhood for much less. It was twice as large, recently renovated, had a closed parking lot and a small veranda, and felt like a little paradise.
