I wish I could give half a star. I needed hot water to dissolve prescription medication, but there was no kettle in the room, no machine to heat water, and no staff to ask after 9 pm. I've traveled all over the world and never stayed at a hotel without a kettle. Welcome to France. There were no safety cameras, and the digitizer on the self check-in touchscreen didn't work.

We stayed for one night while passing through. The hotel seems to get a lot of people working nearby too. It's quiet, just outside town, with three restaurants only a few minutes away on foot. The bed and pillows were roomy and comfortable, the linens were good quality, and the shower pressure was strong. Reception staff were friendly and knew their stuff. Parking was good, and the price felt fair for the standard. I'd stay again.

I called to sort out payment for an old reservation and asked, “Do you speak English?” The reply was “no desolé,” then they hung up. Looks like free stays are guaranteed if French isn't your first language.

After driving for 12 hours from Spain, we were met in the car park by two young women with intimidating-looking dogs. One dog was loose and came toward us, which really frightened us. I couldn't tell whether the women were guests or cleaners. By the time we got safely into the hotel at 6:30 pm, we just wanted to reach our room, so I didn't bring the dogs up. The receptionist was extremely pleasant and helpful.

A great place to sleep before heading on. The rooms are small but cozy, the food is always very good, and the views are breathtaking.
