B&B HOTEL Aubagne Gémenos

The location worked well for us, near the Metro and a supermarket, and I liked having extra pillows in an otherwise nice bedroom. The air conditioning was unreliable, and the hairdryer had the same problem. The bathroom was extremely cramped, especially the shower. Its taps and shower head faced the curtain, leaving even less room, and I kept burning myself on the hot side of the tap. Water got everywhere when I showered. We also had noisy neighbours watching TV and chatting past 3 a.m.; hotel staff didn't keep an eye on the noise. I haven't counted that against the hotel, though, since different neighbours might have made our stay much better.

The room had modern furniture and a TV, and at first it looked clean, but the bathroom leak left us disappointed. Every shower flooded the bathroom, and water ran onto the carpet. Reception said several rooms had the same issue and couldn't promise another would be any better, so they offered towels for the floor instead. Those turned yellow after soaking up the dirty water from the carpet, which made us think it was already filthy. The room smelled damp the next day. The hotel said it was fully booked and there was nothing they could do. The room was decent in general, but that poor service and the constant water problem mean I can't recommend it. The room itself was really small, and the toilet even smaller.

There were quite a few ants in my room, and I don't like getting bitten by them. The Wi-Fi was hopeless, too. Still, for a budget hotel, my expectations were reasonable, and I wasn't disappointed or dissatisfied with anything else. Would I stay again? Absolutely, without hesitation.

For the price and season it was okay, but the room and bathroom were both really small. The sheets felt poor quality, there were lots of mosquitoes in the room, and the water pressure was almost nonexistent.
