The food was a real limitation for us. Breakfast and dinner were set menus, there was no lunch, and they were expensive with no alternatives. With no shops nearby, and my food allergies meaning I couldn't eat the set menu, I was left hungry until I could cycle back to Saumur. There was no laundry either, and I wouldn't stay here again without a car. The grounds are beautiful, with gardens, a pool, and games room, and we loved the traditional architecture. As a family, we made good use of the pool and games room, and the place is close to the Loire a velo for cycling around the area. The beds were very comfortable, made daily, and fresh towels were provided. The air conditioning worked well, and the dining was very traditional French with families welcome.

A quiet, civilised base for exploring the area, and exceptional value for a few nights. We spent three nights here while touring the Loire Valley by motorcycle. The grounds were beautifully kept, with mature trees and flower borders, and the heated outdoor pool was a great bonus, rarely busy. Breakfast was an excellent buffet, with seating inside or on the terrace. Our comfortable room had air conditioning, a modern bathroom, and a separate toilet. Charming bilingual staff gave helpful restaurant tips, and the secure rear parking with a keycode was ideal for bikes. Highly recommend.

The grounds alone make you want to stay. We arrived by bicycle, checked in at 4pm as the first couple, and were greeted by happy, smiling reception staff. From our ground floor patio, we could see the heated outdoor pool, at 25°C. You can get both dinner and breakfast here. I liked it so much that I booked a second night, especially with rain forecast for most of tomorrow. At the time of writing on May 3rd, 2025, the price was 68€, which is hard to beat.

A lovely domain with a beautiful garden pool. The house is quite old now, with its last renovation in the eighties, and the style shows its age.

The building is attractive and the location is nice, but the room was small and had no tea or coffee facilities. The bed was hard and I slept poorly. Service in the restaurant felt rushed, and the food was average. Staff seemed keen to leave, and after they went home I was left in the dark at the bar.
