Hotel Marinha

The restaurant is another problem. We only found out after checking in that it had apparently been closed for some time due to a health issue, despite all the references to it. The room had an electric kettle, microwave, and stovetop, but no cups, dishes, or pot, so none of that was useful. The shower was tiny, there wasn’t a shelf for soap, and it was almost impossible to turn around in there. Can’t recommend this place. It was grossly misrepresented.

Nearly four months later, we still haven’t received our refund. The terms and conditions say you get your money back if you cancel your booking. The owner is super dishonest. This feels like a total scam, and I don’t recommend booking this hotel at all.

The rooms have kitchenettes, but no utensils, cutlery, or crockery. The bathroom was adequate, though the shower was tiny. Still, it was great value and only a five-minute walk from the RER. The welcome was excellent, the staff were fantastic all round, and the restaurant served great food even after we arrived late. Breakfast was decent at 4 euro 50, with OJ, coffee, pastries, toast, meat, cheese, and jam.

The room was very small, with big stains on the ceiling, peeling paint, and dirty spots or marks on the walls. The bathroom, though, was very clean, and the location was quiet. The receptionist was really nice, and using self check-in was easy.
