We enjoyed our stay, and the apartment was nice with no complaints from us. We arrived at 10:00 pm and the host was really kind, even offering to get us food. At first I thought the restaurant was nearby, then found out it was at the train terminal. He was honest about getting a buy-one-get-one pizza offer and gave me the change back. The apartment is quite far from the city, but buses and trains make Paris accessible for less than €10.

We left a night early because the damp, musty smell had spread to all our belongings. Breakfast was just four packaged Lidl croissants and an orange juice, with no table or chairs to eat at. The apartment was damp, and our large car barely fit; we had to park on the apartment ramp. The welcome was kind, but after that the stay was poor, and the area wasn’t nice either. In response to the owner: I’m entitled to leave a review on Booking.com since I stayed there. I said the welcome was kind, and I don’t think I offended anyone. The accusations of racism are stories she’s making up because she can’t accept negative reviews. I never raised that topic. Before God, we are all equal. Other reviews have also criticized the apartment. The problem is hers, not mine. She keeps changing the apartment’s name to 43 Boulevard Pasteur to avoid negative reviews. I’d take better care of that garage she calls an apartment, since it’s damp. I’ll follow her advice, though. If she can’t accept reviews, that’s her problem.

The host was so warm, welcoming, and committed to helping us. All the codes and arrival information were sent over, and parking in the courtyard may be available on request, which adds security and is handy in the rain. There’s a simple breakfast included, and Parc Astérix, why we came, and Charles de Gaulle Airport are both around 20 minutes away. The apartment is in the basement of the owner’s house. It has its own bedroom plus a sleeping area in the main room, a kitchenette, living room, big bathroom and toilet, and a large TV. Goussainville itself may not be much to visit, but the apartment worked really well for a short stay. Nothing luxurious, just thoughtful details that made it comfortable. Thank you!

If you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs. Airport noise starts at 5:20 a.m. We were also disappointed to find that the cozy little area shown on the front page is gone, and the breakfast photo doesn’t match what’s provided: it’s cheap orange juice and chocolate bread in cellophane. We brought our own breakfast, but it’s the principle. The listing doesn’t mention the major cleaning expected at checkout, including mopping and cleaning the toilet. Getting up early to clean when we’re staying near our destination makes no sense. I’ve never encountered that before. After the owner’s bad faith reply, I’ll add that it was €72 a night plus taxes, not €40 as she says. The photos don’t show reality, which is a shame. I read the listing again and still can’t find any mention of cleaning. No Airbnb I’ve stayed at before asked for this, so it should be in the listing. The lady takes money without providing service. We should have the choice. Thank you.
