The hosts were great to talk with in English and pointed us toward historic sights and places to eat in a nearby town. Our room was roomy and really comfortable, and the hearty breakfast got us ready for the drive ahead.

Dinner with the hosts felt like being at home, just a posher version. The B&B sits inside a charming farmhouse, and the clean rooms had a shabby-chic look that fit the setting without going too far in either direction. The hosts were very nice.

We had the huge family room, with loads of space for the four of us, two parents and kids aged 7 and 9. This old farmhouse has a lovely rustic feel and is apparently popular for weddings, while the village is peaceful and the setting feels informal. The owners were warm and friendly. Since we arrived a bit late, they sent us to the very good local pizzeria for takeaway and lent us plates and cutlery so we could eat outside in the courtyard. Breakfast was lovely and French, with great coffee. It’s only a 1.5-hour drive from Calais. We’d happily stay again on a future trip to France.

The family room could use some maintenance, especially the bathroom, but I’d still recommend this place for a good rest on a long trip. The surroundings are lovely, and there’s a nice playground nearby in the village. The hosts make you feel welcome and give great recommendations. We had a very good breakfast, and the hosts were lovely too. We’ll be back :)
