The dessert was tasty, though it was a large portion and not especially refined. The rest of our lunch was disappointing as vegetarians: first a small green salad with dressing, then a plain omelette with a little more of that salad and a few vegetables in Chinese sauce. The white or red table wine was very average too. I wouldn’t come back here as a vegetarian.

There are interesting birds around and on the lake, though much of the walk around it follows small roads. The hotel is a great little place at the lake’s end, with an indoor pool. The food is simple but good, and rooms facing the lake have balconies and lovely views.

The hotel feels cozy and familiar, and the surroundings are lovely. Its restaurant serves really good quality food, and the whole place is impeccable.
