Aec Village Vacances - Les Cèdres

The food was beyond what I expected: fresh, colorful, plentiful, varied, and rooted in French cooking traditions. The restaurant team, including Lilly, Aurelie, Monika, Maurice, Nadine, Quentin, Yilane, and the others whose names I didn’t catch, gave impeccable service with patience, smiles, and kind words. The staff across the place were just as lovely. Monsieur le Directeur Regis was cultured, impeccably mannered, always smiling, and seemed to speak more languages than I could imagine. Anthony at reception was alert and helpful, and apparently a dancer and singer too. Pascal was always upbeat and encouraging, and went out of his way for the kids. Lilly led activities and stretching, while Clément sang and performed. I’m sorry I can’t name everyone. The location is perfect, and the whole team made this an amazing place to stay.

The location worked well for us, with the town and train station both an easy walk away. It’s clean and reasonably priced for a night or two. There’s a bar downstairs and a nice pool. Breakfast was fine, nothing special. The room didn’t have a kettle or fridge.

I really enjoyed the view from the terraces built into the hillside, especially over breakfast. The hotel itself is superb, with well-furnished rooms, plus a pool, garden, sports activities, and free parking.

The hotel service was okay, but the second-floor balcony rooms need attention. There’s no air conditioning, and the Wi-Fi is unreliable. I had to leave the screen door open to cool the room, which let bugs in and made me feel unsafe.
