Camping Au Bord de l'Aisne

A pretty place with roomy pitches and useful facilities like a bar, restaurant and pool. The sanitary blocks were decent enough, but there was no soap by the sinks. It's handy for the motorway and makes an easy stop on the way to or from the ferry or tunnel. I'd recommend it for that, though it felt a bit expensive for what you get.

We found a quiet corner away from the children, and it was easy to choose where to park. We were there in a motorhome on the way to the Euro tunnel. It's a lovely, clean campsite, with plenty of play areas, though the pool was full of overexcited children. The river nearby is ideal for dogs who love swimming. The staff were always helpful and cheerful, especially Caroline.

The staff were very friendly and spoke English, and I thought it was good value. It's within easy reach of the Eurotunnel, in a charming little town or large village. There's a well stocked convenience store and a Boulanger less than five minutes away on foot. The campsite is spacious, with good sized pitches, a pool, bar and restaurant.

We took the train from the village to Reims, and the village also has an excellent supermarket. We stopped here with our caravan on the way back to the ferry. The pitch was a great size, facilities were okay, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There's a small cafe on site, with basic but nice food. Good campsite, would recommend.
