Chambres D'hotes O Bois Plage

I'm finally taking the time to write about the bad experience we had this summer. We couldn't stay at Bois Plage because the owner plays with words about accepting dogs, which she now apparently refuses. My dog is my working dog, so I politely explained I couldn't come without her. With only three days before arrival, I was hoping we'd find something that worked for everyone. She said she'd refund us if she managed to let the room again for the week, and we did find someone in one night. Then there was radio silence. So far, she's returned only €400 of the €850. Remember, we'd also paid for breakfast, which cost her nothing since she didn't prepare it for us. She also had to move the other guests, so it was all profit for her. We didn't go on vacation. As you can imagine, we couldn't afford another place at that price, and I'd rather spend those few days at home with my dog than with that kind of person. It's 2025, and it makes me sick. If you make a commitment to someone, you honor it. We were both very polite and understood that she didn't want another dog because of bad experiences. I advise people to avoid this place. Landlords, take note.

The room's decor and comfortable bedding were lovely, and I appreciated the little extras, like fresh mint scent in the room and small strawberries in the garden. Breakfast by the pool was a really nice experience, and it was very good too. We got a warm welcome at Ô Bois Plage from the friendly, welcoming manager. Thanks again for such a great discovery. We'd gladly return!

The room was beautiful, the bed very comfortable, and the bathroom modern. We also got a very warm welcome and excellent advice, and breakfast was complete. There were a couple of letdowns: no television, which didn't matter in the daytime since we weren't there to watch TV, but it would have been nice to have in the evening. The pool was very cold despite the hot weather, as it isn't heated. A shame, especially since I paid 348 euros for 3 nights. I wish the owner all the best; he deserves it, and thanks for the stay.

The garden was nice, the pool lovely though unheated, and the location was good. We stayed one night as six people, with no children. The owner wasn't very pleasant, and we were asked to keep quiet around the pool. Our €149 room had very wrinkled linen sheets, which made the bed uncomfortable to sleep in. There was no soap in the shower room or bottle of water by the bed, and breakfast was low quality.
