Dify Tour Rose - Vieux Lyon

I contacted customer service every day during my three-night stay, including on my birthday. They stopped replying after the first day. They only managed to get the fire working and the window to close. The bathroom light strobed the whole time and gave me a headache whenever I used it, so I ended up bathing in the dark. On the first night, the bedroom window wouldn’t latch. There was scaffolding outside, so someone could have entered easily. It took two staff members to fix it. The shower door had been ripped off, so I didn’t feel comfortable showering. I noted that this had already been reported in May 2025. The TV was on a different Wi-Fi network from the one provided to guests, so I couldn’t cast to it, and the speakers wouldn’t connect for music. The “fire” was just a couple of inches of vapor at most. There were scratches all over the wall in the bar area, making the room look like it hadn’t been refurbished for a very long time. I also noted that this had been reported for this suite in January 2024.

The location is lovely, close to lots of Bouchons and pedestrian streets. We stayed in the Cobalt room and I highly recommend it. Impeccably clean, spacious, nicely designed, and great value.

Nearly three years after my first visit in November 2022, I came back and the hotel still proved to be a great place to stay. The location in Lyon’s old city is perfect for nearby attractions, and my room was very comfortable. For this quality, the price is reasonable.

I absolutely loved staying here and hope I can come back. It feels less like a hotel and more like having a room or suite right in Lyon’s old town, on one of its most beautiful corners. You can get to everything you’d want nearby, including fabulous restaurants and the church. It’s like a real-world Epcot experience, and maybe one of the most enjoyable hotel stays I’ve ever had.
