The room was fine, though breakfast felt a bit uninspired. We arrived shortly before 3 p.m. and saw a notice saying reception was open from 3 to 8, so we waited, but nobody came. After we called the posted number, the woman told us which room was ours, and that was the whole check-in. There wasn't a reception after all. Why leave the sign up? We told the next arrivals to call so they wouldn't end up waiting for nothing too.

We paid 72€ for the night, which was far too much for what we got. The room had no real window, just a view of a wall, and it was quite dirty. Breakfast was poor, and the marmalade and other items in the fridge looked like they'd been open for a long time. The owner was unfriendly, asked for cash straight away, and didn't seem interested in anything else. Our worst experience. I can't recommend it.

It was a pleasant place, but the room was small for the price. There are better deals nearby, and keep in mind that the area gets chilly in winter.

A tidy guesthouse with a view that feels almost magical.
