Hôtel Hypnos

The rooms felt cosy and clean, almost like being at home, and there’s secure parking in the yard. Breakfast was good, too. The staff speak English, which feels pretty rare in France 😂. Finding a hotel like this is unusual. I’d highly recommend it.

The courtyard is lovely, and the hotel is right by places to eat and the other things you need for a great French holiday. The owner is the sweetest, most helpful woman, and the service was on another level for me. Such a gem of a hotel. If you’re anywhere near Hesdin, FR, go.

We slept peacefully, and the bedroom was really comfortable and spotless. The hotel is right in the centre of Hesdin, a lovely medieval town, with secure parking. The staff were so friendly and patient with our basic French. We loved the colourful, creative shared rooms and the outdoor seating area. There’s also a kitchen on the same floor, which came in handy for chilling wine and fresh milk for the tea-making facilities in the room. Belle Epoque restaurant, just a few doors away, served us a delicious meal. This place is full of charm and character, and we loved it.

I liked the bathroom update, and the service was good. Still, I wouldn’t give it 4 stars because the floors in the rooms connect with the hallway and make a lot of noise when people walk past. The bar and breakfast area also feel dated. I do think it’ll improve by my next visit, though. You can tell the people here care :)
