Hotel Domaine de la Mer

We loved it here. The restaurant was fantastic, breakfast was good, and the rooms were beautiful and well kept. The bathrooms had everything we needed, and the coffee machine and quality products were a nice touch. There are trees and open spaces all around, and we really liked the beach-style decor.

We stayed for a week in August, and the place was dirty and not worth the money. There was moisture in the bathroom and one bedroom. Technicians looked at it and said it was a known problem that needed renovation. They sprayed disinfectant, but said there was nothing else they could do. Management didn’t apologize or offer compensation. “They do not care” sums up how we felt about the rooms and the rest of the property. The sandy, dusty paths between the accommodation, beach, pool and reception are shared with vehicles, so dust gets carried into the rooms. There was dog dirt and women’s sanitary pads left lying around. Cleaning the rooms seemed like an almost impossible job, and ours wasn’t ready when we arrived at 4pm. Our “garden view” looked out onto a dry, deserted patch of forested hillside. The restaurant was overpriced, with a 0.5l beer costing 13€. The property wasn’t properly maintained, either. During our 7 days there, at least one thing was always out: internet for 2 days, electricity for 1 day, AC for 1 day, and water for 1 day. The beach is close, which is a small plus, but don’t expect much from it. Maybe it was because of the many boats anchored nearby, but the water wasn’t very clear and we couldn’t spot any fish. There are much better places. Stay far away.

The facilities were new, clean, and pleasing to look at, and the surrounding nature was breathtaking. We spent a lovely long weekend at Le Domaine de la Mer recharging. The staff were kind and helpful, and made us feel at home. I highly recommend it for a getaway, and I know I’ll be back! 🥰

We were grateful to find a last-minute reservation and were met with wonderful hospitality in our accommodation. The setting is really beautiful, with a quiet beach, lovely water, and kind staff.
