The courtyard is peaceful and lovely for breakfast or relaxing through the day, and we really fell for the charm of this place. Les Orangers is a tranquil hideaway just a short walk from many of Hyeres’ best restaurants. Our room was nicely decorated and well equipped, and stayed cool during the late June heat without needing the air-con. The proprietors and staff were welcoming, professional and fun, with a calm way of running things that helped make our stay so wonderful. There’s something special here.

Luckily, we only stayed one night. The hotel is very old and shabby, and the rooms are tiny and drab. The towels, bedcovers and decorative pillows looked decades old, and the towels were so worn we couldn’t use them. There was one old-fashioned long pillow to share instead of individual pillows. The shower was so old it felt dirty. This place needs a major renovation throughout.

The owners were lovely, breakfast in the courtyard was nice, and the location is excellent. It’s good value for money, though our room felt a bit old, there was no air conditioning, and the street was somewhat noisy.

The rooms are simple and basic, but the service was good. It’s a nice hotel near Hyeres’ main road, and buses 29, 39 and 67 connect it to the train station. Recommended.
