Free parking and a good location were the only real positives for us. The owner seemed kind, but his actions didn't feel hospitable. I asked politely after the first two days if breakfast could include something different, like salami instead of marmalade. He ignored me and served the same marmalade every one of our four mornings. Our room smelled bad, possibly because it was two-thirds underground. He also sent us to a pizzeria that had already been closed for renovations for some time, so the walk was for nothing. After three nights, the lady was supposed to replace two towels, but instead she left all the towels outside to dry in the sun. We really don't recommend this place. It felt like indifference and selfishness, not hospitality.

The hosts are friendly and accommodating, and speak good German. The French breakfast was excellent. The place was spacious and very clean, just right for two people. The tram stop is around 300 meters away, with a tram every ten minutes.

Annick and Bernard made us feel incredibly welcome, and gave us helpful advice and explanations for visiting Strasbourg and the surrounding area. The tram stop is a five-minute walk away, with direct service to Strasbourg's historic center and the European Parliament, and there are good restaurants nearby. Our room was very spacious and comfortable, just as pictured. The bathroom was simple but functional, and everything was spotless. Breakfast was generous and brought to the room. Getting around Strasbourg without a car was easy thanks to the nearby tram, which is a real plus. The owners were warm and attentive, and breakfast was generous. We had a very pleasant stay in a comfortable room with lovely decor.

Although the room is in the basement, it was very quiet and cozy. It's cool and humid in there, but we still slept comfortably. The owners were kind and always ready with help or advice. Breakfast was a delicious French one. The room had everything needed for a comfortable stay: towels, shampoo, soap, hairdryer, mosquito nets, window screens, maps and travel brochures, a kettle, refrigerator, TV, and internet.
