The homemade meals were delicious, bread included, and the picnic basket was generous and full of tasty local and organic products. We felt comfortable with our hosts right away. The bed and breakfast is simple and welcoming, and the village itself is lovely, peaceful, and relaxing. Two very friendly couples looked after us. We highly recommend staying here 😄

We felt at home with these four lovely people. Their warm welcome and the delicious food show how much they care about bringing this remote place to life. We first knew this beautiful mountain as children, and came across them while out walking. We aren't vegans, but we'd say go try it and set aside any preconceptions. It was exquisite, and we'd be glad to come back!

The village is lovely to explore, and the view from the church is magnificent. We had a short but enriching stay after a long day out, and the scenery around the location is beautiful. The two couples gave us a really warm welcome. I especially enjoyed the filling vegetarian dinner and breakfast, including the gluten-free option. The bedding was impeccable and I slept very well. No regrets ☺️

Leaving was hard. The place is incredibly peaceful, and you don't come across it by chance. Our room, with one double bed and one single, was spacious enough, simple, and comfortable. The large shower room and efficient underfloor heating deserve a mention. The hosts were warm and welcoming, and we’ll leave you to discover them yourselves. Breakfast was substantial, with homemade muesli and energy bars, and the picnic basket was too. Dinner was vegetarian, fresh, hearty, imaginative, and delicious, nothing like the sometimes diet-punishing, pre-packaged image of this food. We chose this bed and breakfast to try a new mountain biking area. It’s a beautiful stone building beside a village of 90 people, at 950m altitude, with a broad rolling plateau and the Mollard de Don peak rising 300m above it. One surprise was the front door of La Grange, covered with decades-old recommendations from the Routard guidebook, almost like a general’s decorations. Another was the young welcome: two families in their thirties had left city life and moved here a few months earlier to build a different kind of life.
