After a full day in the city, it was lovely to come back to the boat and sleep in peace. The terrace was a highlight, and the boat itself was comfortable and clean. Getting into the center was easy by bus, which also made for a beautiful sightseeing ride.

Christophe made me feel welcome and was happy to answer questions about the barge and his business. Staying there for a few days felt like a real change of scenery, especially with no houses nearby and such a quiet setting. At night, I enjoyed walking along the lit wooden boardwalk from the barge. Following the Seine toward Sèvres, I passed Île Saint-Germain and Île Seguin on tree-lined paths with lights and lots of converted boats along the way.
