Hotel Izzy By Happyculture

The rooms are tiny even by Paris standards, and there’s barely anywhere to put luggage or hang anything. The beds feel like hard planks, and the showers are so tight that raising your arms to wash your hair means hitting your elbows or popping the door open. Everything seemed dingy and not very clean. The basic rooms have very little in them, and breakfast is basic too. I stayed because it was near the Paris expo, but I wouldn’t recommend it unless it’s your only option. Don’t expect extras. Never again!

There are lots of restaurants nearby, including Asian places and an affordable Chinese restaurant just a few steps away. A grocery store is right beside the crossing, too. The staff are friendly, reception is open 24/7, and free coffee and hot chocolate are available around the clock. For location and amenities, this has been one of my favorite hotels in Europe so far. We’ll check in here again when I’m back in Paris!

Nina at the front desk was so kind, professional, and helpful, always greeting us with a warm smile and genuine care. She went well beyond what we expected. That level of service is rare, and she’s a real asset to the hotel. Thank you so much!

The rooms are small and basic, and the plywood nightstand made the room feel cheap. I chose this hotel because it was near the convention center. I asked three times for the A/C to be fixed, but it never was, so I slept poorly. I won’t be back.
